New Database: Hazmat Navigator
As of now, the chemical safety database Hazmat Navigator is available to ETH member and library visitors.
Tutorial
Hazmat Navigator helps chemists and safety personnel quickly access critical, detailed chemical hazards information. It contains safety data on about 7000 compounds about handling, toxicology, and reactivity. Hazmat Navigator can be searched directly using text and structure searches. Alternatively, a substance record can also be called via Reaxys by clicking the Erlenmeyer flask icon displayed below the structure formula in a substance or reaction record.
Hazmat Navigator is based on the following sources: Bretherick's Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards, Sittig's Handbook of Toxic and Hazardous Chemicals and Carcinogens, Sittig's Handbook of Pesticides and Agricultural Chemicals, Encyclopedia of Toxicology, and the Fire Protection Guide to Hazardous Materials.
