Opening a NEBIS account with the ETH Library
The Chemistry Biology Information Center HCI is not an active member of the NEBIS library network, but you will find our holdings (ETH-HCI) in the NEBIS catalog.To open your personal NEBIS account, you should register yourself online:
- Visit www.nebis.ch and click on "Register"
- Fill in the form and send it
- To activate your NEBIS account, you should personally come to our InfoDesk with your student or staff identity card. Further, we would need to know your personal ID assigned to you during registration.
Collection library ETH-HCI
If you wish to collect the documents ordered online by you with NEBIS from the Information Center, then select "ETH-HCI" as your "Home Library" while filling in the online registration form.
The above service is available to the staff and students of the departments of D-CHAB, D-BIOL, and D-MATL only. Other users must collect the ordered documents from the "Baubibliothek" or "Depotbibliothek" or ETH Library.
Ordered documents can be collected Monday-Friday, 8-18h.
You may let the ordered documents come in by mail, but it is costly.
Ordering photocopies as pdf
It is possible to order electronic copies of articles with NEBIS. These copies will be sent to you via e-mail as pdf's within 2-24 hours.
For all ETH members (scientific staff and personnel), this service is free of charge (see special price-list for students and others). It can also be facilitated at our InfoDesk.
