Installation
- In case an older version of CA on CD exists on your computer, uninstall it together with any shortcuts. Goto Start - Programs- CA on CD and click the item Uninstall CA on CD.
- Click the Start button and go the item Run, then enter \\infocb-w2k031.ethz.ch\ca\netuser.exe and click OK button
(in case you get an error message "network path not found" then use the command \\129.132.126.43\ca\netuser.exe)
- "Connect to W2K031" screen will appear. Sign in as
Username: ChemAbs1
Password: Test98
- "Network Client Installer" screen will appear. Click the Next button.
- This will lead work "Network Client README.TXT" screen and hence to "Installation Options" screen containing:
Type of Install: Network Client Install
Options: New Install
Install User Manuals
Local Destination (Software Directory): C:\CACD (you may click Browse to choose a different destination)
Finally, in the Start menu - Programs a new group "CA on CD" will be created from which CA on CD program can be started and manuals may be consulted.
The directory C:\CACD , in addition to the other files, contains the required control file
CACD.INI with the path FileCDPath=\\infocb-w2k031\ca\cacdpath.ini
(or \\129.132.126.43\...). This directorey would also store qry-Files
corresponding to the queries made later on.
Updating the License Driver
Start-Menu - "Ausführen/Run": execute
\\129.132.126.43\ca\Hasp\haspdinst.exe -i
Starting CA on CD
Goto Start - Programs - CA on CD and click CA on CD program. Authenticate using
Username: ChemAbs1 and Password: Test98 .
